Infrared Windows or IR windows refer to electrical covers that have crystal or polymer optic lenses embedded in the panels for viewing the electrical equipment without the need to remove the cover. Using the windows allows for a non-intrusive inspection process controls risk by virtually eliminating the possibility of worker-initiated electrical hazards during thermography infrared inspections.
